Caring for Sterling Silver:Sterling silver is a precious metal and will naturally tarnish with time and wear and when it’s exposed to oxygen.
To clean your sterling silver and to keep it shiny, simply use a sterling silver polishing cloth or dip it into a sterling silver cleaning solution. We recommend polishing your sterling silver jewellery regularly for a better result.
Caring for gold plated jewellery:Our gold plating jewellery has a base layer of sterling silver with a 18K gold plating. It is suitable for everyday wear, but like anything plated, it will eventually tarnish over time and wear. As the jewellery are not solid gold, extra care should be taken to diminish tarnishing and prolong the longevity of your pieces.
You can clean your gold-plated jewellery with gentle wet wipes or chemical free soft cloth to gently rub your piece to remove dust and dirt.
Do not use a sterling silver or solid gold polishing cloth as this will strip away the plating.
To help keep your jewellery looking beautiful, clean with a soft dry cloth after wearing and store it in a closed jewellery box or sealed plastic bag in a cool dry place, away from direct light.
We also recommend to keep individual pieces separate to avoid scratching.
Remember to remove your jewellery when:Applying perfume, hairspray or make-up
Applying lotion or sunscreen
Entering water
Working out
Caring for a Merino Wool Béret:Merino wool bérets are very resistant and will only need to be cleaned occasionally or in case of stains.
When not worn, we recommend keeping your béret in a flat position and in a dry area away from direct sun.
If you need to clean your beret, only handwash your béret (no washing machine) with cold water.
Try to avoid using too much water to be sure to keep the original shape. If you are cleaning a stain, only use a (very) soft brush and (very) gently clean. To dry your béret, it’s recommended to keep it flat, away from the sun.
At MAEWENN, we want you to love your purchase. While we do not offer refunds for change of mind, we are pleased to offer exchanges within 6 months of purchase, subject to the conditions below.
Exchanges
If you change your mind about your purchase, you may request an exchange within 6 months from the date of purchase.
To be eligible for an exchange, the item must:
- Be unworn and unused;
- Be returned in its original condition;
- Be free from damage, marks, alterations, perfume, or signs of wear;
- Have all tags attached where applicable (including berets); and
- Be accompanied by proof of purchase.
All exchange requests are subject to inspection upon receipt. MAEWENN reserves the right to decline an exchange if the item does not meet these requirements.
To arrange an exchange, please contact us at contact@maewenn.com before returning your item. Items sent back without prior approval will not be accepted.
Customers are responsible for the cost of return postage and should retain proof of postage, as MAEWENN cannot accept responsibility for parcels lost in transit.
Exchange Value
Exchanges are based on the original purchase price paid.
- If you choose an item of a higher value, you will be required to pay the difference.
- If you choose an item of a lower value, no refund, credit, or store credit will be given for the difference.
- Exchanges may only be processed once for the original purchase.
Faulty or Incorrect Items
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us as soon as possible if you believe your item is faulty, damaged, or if you have received the wrong item.
If a fault is confirmed, MAEWENN will assess the item and, where appropriate, replace it or allow you to select another item of equal value.
Damage resulting from normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, improper handling, exposure to chemicals, failure to follow care instructions, or general wear over time is not considered a fault and is not covered under this policy.
Product Variations
All MAEWENN products are handcrafted. Minor variations in colour, finish, texture, gemstones, pearls, and design may occur due to the handmade nature of our products, natural materials, photography lighting conditions, and differences in device screen settings.
These slight variations are part of the uniqueness of each piece and do not constitute a fault.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be exchanged or returned:
- Custom-made or personalised products;
- Special orders made specifically at the customer's request; and
- Digital gift cards.
Digital gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Refunds
We do not offer refunds for change of mind.
